Only “Poe” knows the truth behind his painful. horror story.

“Poe” a quiet & sweet scruffy Terrier mix (only 35 lbs.) about 5 years old recently came to Last Hope on a rescue transport from a crowded Kentucky shelter. He was an owner surrender there in Oct. after some sort of mysterious “mishap”. He had a 4 inch gash on his back and wounds with puncture marks on both sides of his neck.

To some of us at Last Hope, it appears poor “Poe” was attacked by another animal. No saying for sure, but this sweet soul did not need or deserve such terrible trauma…And then to lose his home afterwards too??

“Nevermore” quoth Last Hope, “”Poe”, you deserve a loving home, and so MUCH better. We will do all we can to assure you that will happen. Your injuries are healing nicely. That’s a good start.”
