“Smiley’s” Saga:
Police found her wandering a neighborhood as a stray so they put her in the back of their squad car. Someone in an apartment saw her, opened the window and yelled she was their dog but they didn’t want her anymore. (Interesting, because someone had used her to have puppies. Perhaps more than once.)
The police took “Smiley” to Hempstead Town Shelter where she stayed until she came next door to Last Hope. She’s about 5 years old. Yes, “Smiley” does SMILE. She will SMILE even more once she’s in a loving, forever home.
