Teddy Moose – ADOPTED!

Teddy Moose“Teddy Moose” is a mush and a sensitive soul. He came into Hempstead Town Shelter last month after someone found him running stray in Freeport. The noisy kennel with over 100 barking, spinning dogs was too much for him. He became nervous and withdrawn so he was moved into a crate in a supervisor’s office. The shelter staff made sure they pointed him out to us because he is such a love.

“Teddy Moose” resembles a small Mastiff, about 60 pounds, but it looks like he has some Sharpei wrinkles. His back has evenly spaced creases as if someone measured them with a ruler and pressed them in. Or else the dog designer was trying to create a Rhodesian Ridgeback but these ridges are going the wrong direction. We know all this is impossible. Nevertheless he is an interesting looking fellow.

He is about 5 years old, a bit shy for a few seconds, and then very affectionate. He does well when meeting small dogs while walking on a leash. “Teddy Moose” is looking for someone to love him, creases and all.
