Tinker – Rat Terrier – ADOPTED 10/11/15

“Tinker” doesn’t understand why she lost her best friend again…She also doesn’t understand why she has such bad luck staying with people she loves.

“Tinker”, a Rat Terrier stray originally from a LI town shelter, has been with Last Hope on and off for close to 3 years. She lost 2 doting homes (of about a year each) because of her adopters’ health issues. Her first owner, then a Last Hope volunteer, had emergency cardiac surgery and could no longer care for a dog. Her next owner of more than a year was a senior citizen, past Last Hope adopter and experienced JRT* person. However, she recently required assisted living arrangements in another state.

“Tinker”, about 5 years old now, can be quite affectionate and playful, but she needs a one pet home without small children. She will do best with a person who understands and appreciates the antics of a true Terrier.

(*JRT= Jack Russell Terrier)
